Why I Don’t Like My Own Posts

“Hey Vikash, I’ve noticed you don’t like your own posts. Most people, whether they have lots of followers or just a few, never forget to like their own content.”

Here’s why:

I used to like my own posts as well, and I was often the first to do it.

It’s a common practice, and there’s nothing inherently wrong with it.

But I decided to stop.

When I share something, it’s because I believe in the value of the content.

I’ve already approved it by writing and posting it, so for me, liking it again feels redundant.

I don’t need to validate my own thoughts—I trust that if the content resonates, others will engage with it naturally.

Liking your own posts can be a way to give them a small initial boost, and I understand why people do it.

But personally, I’ve chosen to let my posts stand on their own merit, without that extra nudge from myself.

It’s just a shift in perspective.

My focus is on sharing content I’m confident in, and letting the engagement follow organically.
